Paradiso

Paradiso is a silkscreen print from award-winning contemporary artist, Rosie Emerson. To create the piece, the model was photographed and then painted using a mixture of charcoal, pink and gold bronze powders, specially created by Emerson, to give the image its ghostly quality, rich in texture and sparkle.

Emerson's art is always a celebration of the female form, thoughtfully-composed to evoke a sense of empowerment and emancipation.

This silkscreen print is from a limited edition of 14, signed by the artist.

Box framing is provided with all our online framing, creating a distance between the glass and your artwork, so no risk of ink transfer to the pane. it's the perfect, gallery grade choice for limited edition prints or original artworks.

Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.

Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.

    About the artist
    +

Rosie Emerson is an award-winning contemporary artist whose work almost exclusively focuses on representing the female form. Her work depicts female archetypes, old and new, from Artemis to the modern day supermodel.

Emerson’s passion for theatre, architecture, silhouettes, shrines and rituals shines through her work. Each piece begins life as a painstakingly-crafted photoshoot, involving elaborate staging, handmade costumes, props, and dramatic lighting. Emerson then hand-finishes her screenprints with unusual materials like ash, sawdust and charcoal to create the texture that makes her pieces stand out.

Over the course of her career, Emerson has been Artist in Residence at Somerset House, exhibited her work at the Southbank Centre, was a finalist for the Young Masters Prize and was shortlisted for the Rise Art Print Award. Her art has been commissioned by brands including Sony and Redbull, and has appeared on the pages of everywhere from Vogue to The Sunday Times and Harper’s Bazaar
