Look Mum My Painting Got In To The Royal Academy is an original oil painting on wood by artist Zoe Moss.
A photorealist painting of The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Zoe Moss created this work to reflect her frustration with both the art world and the fact she could no longer show her parents her work after they passed away.
"At the same time I have used humour and an element of surrealist satire to deliver my message."
Depicting a man viewing the exhibition which features a painting of himself viewing the exhibition, this never-ending artwork stretches into infinity, "The idea is that they send me a photo and I will paint them into one of the paintings”.
From an edition of 100, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.

About the artist
After receiving a BA Hons in fine art, Moss has exhibited in shows such as the Royal Academy Summer exhibition, Cork street Gallery and the National open art competition. She has been shortlisted for many exhibitions including the BP portrait prize and John Moores Painting prize. As a published artist she has featured in publications such as 'Who's Who in Art'. Zoe is currently producing various private and commercial commissions. She is in the process of creating her own children's book and working on her third solo show.
Moss is predominantly a photo-realist oil painter, inspired by details and the concept of paint versus photography. She feels spending so long on a piece allows the artist to study their relationship with the subject.
She has recently been visiting comic cons and is producing work based around superheroes and famous icons with a humorous narrative.
A custom frame is the perfect way to complement your beautiful limited edition artwork. Our custom framing is a bespoke handmade service.
Own Art is a national initiative giving you the option to spread the cost of your contemporary art with 0% finance.
