Pink Moda

Bruce McLean is one of the major abstract figures of contemporary British art. From artist to teacher, McLean makes his own rules - he has done ever since the 1960s, when he trailed the blaze of British conceptual art with his distinctive brand of abstraction. Regarded as one of the major players in contemporary British art. Rebellious and pioneering, McLean loosened traditional forms into abstraction and paved the way for pop art aesthetics.

Pink Moda is a silkscreen limited edition print of 100. This collage and painting is an inviting and energetic representation of London. Signed by the artist this is an abstract that pulls in dynamic shapes with energetic lines and street map of hints of London. Ice creams or iconic buildings ? you decide. Pink Moda is a fresh composition to reflect London, its energy and unique mood. Pink Moda has a companion piece by Bruce McLean called Designer Trees.

    About the artist
    +

A leading figure in the development of 1960s Conceptual Art, Bruce McLean is regarded as one of the major players in contemporary British art. Rebellious and pioneering, McLean helped break down the rigid formalism of visual art, loosening traditional forms into abstraction and paving the way for Pop aesthetics.

McLean began his career making sculptures from rubbish and debris, abandoning conventional art to develop a satirical commentary that mocked the pomposity of the art world and its long-established forms.

He works across a range of media, including sculpture, film, photography, printmaking, drawing and live work, which continues to be exhibited in private and public collections around the world.
