Stormtrooper

Realist artist, Zoe Moss, is known for her satirical pop art style, rich in narrative and humour.

Stormtrooper is from her Icons Series, in which she draws and paints famous icons and superheroes just going about their days - as though they don’t have battles to fight and lives to save.

This piece depicts the normally fearsome Stormtrooper after he’s popped to Tesco’s for a few bits.

This giclée print is from a limited edition of 25, signed and numbered by the artist.

    About the artist
    +

After receiving a BA Hons in fine art, Moss has exhibited in shows such as the Royal Academy Summer exhibition, Cork street Gallery and the National open art competition. She has been shortlisted for many exhibitions including the BP portrait prize and John Moores Painting prize. As a published artist she has featured in publications such as 'Who's Who in Art'. Zoe is currently producing various private and commercial commissions. She is in the process of creating her own children's book and working on her third solo show.

Moss is predominantly a photo-realist oil painter, inspired by details and the concept of paint versus photography. She feels spending so long on a piece allows the artist to study their relationship with the subject.

She has recently been visiting comic cons and is producing work based around superheroes and famous icons with a humorous narrative.
