Havana Club

Layla Andrews is a Brighton and London-based artist known for figurative, abstract portraits that are blended by hand and characterised by rich colours. Through her work she explores themes of family, humans and the natural world.

In Havana Club, Andrews depicts one of the crocodiles that we see across her oeuvre; a motif she has been painting since she was a teenager. She reveals:

There is something quite human about crocodiles. They seem complicated; sweet but also wise, as though they harbour great knowledge from being around for so long. And of course, they are very good looking.”

This giclée print is hand-finished with acrylic, and signed by the artist. The piece is available in five different colour-ways, each one unique.
