Mr Cenz first felt the call to pick up the spray can back in 1988 when he discovered hip-hop culture and graffiti. After a couple of run ins with the law, he quickly realised that if he wanted to develop his artistic skills, he would need to do so legally.
Since being commissioned for his first mural at 11 years old, Mr Cenz has developed a successful career as a graffiti artist, with his distinctive work found on streets all over the world.
His kinetic art, described as ‘surrealist graffiti art for the soul’, is fused with funk and movement, and brings together illustration, photorealism and graffiti letterforms. His latest series marries the technical skills he’s learned over the course of his long career, and focuses on interpreting strong, spiritual women in his signature style.
