Weapon Of Choice

Fanakapan is an internationally-renowned street artist known for such mind-bending recreations of balloons he’s been dubbed, ‘the pioneer of balloon graffiti’. Fanakapan has created Weapon of Choice especially for his 2022 solo show at Enter Gallery, ‘Pulling Faces.’

Weapon of Choice' is a collaboration between Fanakapan and Nuno Viegas. The work is based on a mural the artists created in 2016. Fanakapan depicts a life-like vision of his own 'weapon of choice' - a crushed spray paint, with not a drop wasted.

This 22-colour silkscreen print is hand-finished with pink spray paint. From a limited edition of 100, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.

    Your Framing Options at entergallery.com

Box framing is provided with all our online framing, creating a distance between the glass and your artwork, so no risk of ink transfer to the pane. it's the perfect, gallery grade choice for limited edition prints or original artworks.

Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.

As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.

Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.

Alternatively, for added piece of mind, we've the option of gallery grade cast acrylic, offering superb clarity and protection.

    About the artist
    +

Fanakapan is a prolific street artist, known for hyper-realistic 3D visuals of real life objects, most notably, helium foil balloons. Via his sublime skill for highly-technical free hand, shadow and reflective highlights, the artist is able to create flat pieces that pop from the surface, tricking the human eye into believing it’s seeing a real object.

Fanakapan is a self-taught artist with a background in prop design, who started working with spray paint in the early 2000s, ‘running around late at night, putting up stencil pieces in Dorset.’

Since then, he has become the ‘pioneer of balloon graff’, taking his ever-evolving aesthetic around the world. Each of Fanakapan’s artworks reveals a little more about his personality. They are devised to both amuse and provoke deeper thought in the observer. He reveals: ‘I usually like the viewer to read into it what they want to. I get some pretty strange suggestions from different minds, and I like it like that.'
