Framed Intimate Relations II 2021, Set Of 3 Prints

Michael Craig-Martin is known as one of Britain's leading exponents of Pop Art. His aesthetic is instantly-recognisable: flat forms and bright, clashing colours unite to depict everyday consumer objects.

Intimate Relations II 2021 is a set of three prints titled Steering Wheel, Corkscrew and Trainer. Speaking of his art, Craig Martin states:

“When we try to understand past civilisations – the stone age, ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Aztecs – we do so by examining the objects they created and used. My work is like an archaeology of the present.”

From an edition 30, this set of three silkscreen prints are signed and numbered by the artist.

Your Framing Options at entergallery.com

Box framing is provided with all our online framing, creating a distance between the glass and your artwork, so no risk of ink transfer to the pane. it's the perfect, gallery grade choice for limited edition prints or original artworks.

Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.

As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.

Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.

Alternatively, for added piece of mind, we've the option of gallery grade cast acrylic, offering superb clarity and protection.

If you would prefer acrylic or other options such as ornate frames or UV protection, please call our gallery team on +44 (0)1273 724829 for a quote, or message us at the bottom right of this page.

About the artist
+

Conceptual artist and painter Michael Craig-Martin is known for capturing the beauty in the everyday. Working with lurid and unexpected colour combinations and flat, minimalist compositions, Craig-Martin’s distinctive depictions of quotidian objects have secured him a place as one of the world’s most sought-after artists of the conceptual movement.

Teaching at Goldsmiths College School of Art from 1974–88, and again from 1994–2000, Craig-Martin was a key figure in the development of the Young British Artists, including Gary Hume, Ian Davenport, and Damien Hirst – a set who would go on to inspire a generation and leave an indelible mark on modern art. Craig-Martin’s influence can still be felt in the work of these artists, and his inimitable style continues to inspire new generations of emerging practitioners.
