At Enter Gallery’s Kids Club this month, Della – our Gallery Director - introduced the kids to the work of Sir Peter Blake. One of the UKs most prominent artists, Blake turned 91 this weekend, so it seemed only fitting that this month’s Kids Club should celebrate his influence on the world of art and popular culture.

Della began proceedings by showing some of the Peter Blake artworks currently hanging in the gallery, and explaining how Blake often uses found materials from books, magazines and leaflets, to craft his pieces.


To celebrate the birthday boy in a way that honours his practice, the kids were given letter templates, reminiscent of Blake’s Dazzle Letters and Alphabet Series, and were encouraged to collage the letters however they pleased. We think you’ll agree that the results are quite something…
