Enter Gallery was alive with laughter and creativity this weekend, as local contemporary artist, Hannah Shillito returned as host of our popular Kids Club.
This month, the kids were invited to an intergalactic collage hoe-down, with Shillito teaching the children how to cut-out and create their own dream worlds for cowgirls, inspired by her recent Space Cowgirls series.
Of course, Shillito brought the glitz, glam and gusto for which she is renowned, making the Kids Club a true masterclass in self-expression and good old fashioned fun.
In today’s blog, we’re providing some snaps of a great morning, demonstrating why our Kids Club is considered one of the best art events in Brighton for children.

Wild West Sunday Best
Hannah Shillito’s Space Cowgirls series is a collection of three artworks celebrating the iconic cowgirl. Considered a symbol of strength and individuality, the series imagines what a world designed by women might look like. The answer according to Shillito? Full of joy, colour and pure fabulousness!
As we’ve come to expect from Shillito, her fashion choices were on point, but we could never have anticipated that her doggy, Norm, would rock the cowgirl look so perfectly. The fluffy pup truly stole the show with his full get up from the Doggy Parton range!
Cowgirl Collage
The kids were given a range of resources from which to cut-out and collage the cowgirl wonderlands of their imaginations, and they dived into the task with gusto.
It seems the children of Brighton are in firm agreement about what ingredients are required for a top notch dream world – namely, rainbows, unicorns and cartoon-characters galore! Looks pretty good to us.
