RYCA Artwork Raises Thousands at Martlets Ball

Last weekend, local charity, Martlets, hosted their Halloween Ball at the Grand Hotel on Brighton seafront. The aim of the event was to raise important funds for this incredible charity, who work tirelessly to provide essential care to people with terminal illness in Brighton and Hove.

With Martlets ambassador and Brighton’s favourite superstar DJ, Fatboy Slim, on the decks, this was a party to remember, with thousands raised for this vital cause.

In today’s blog, we’re providing some snaps from an amazing night (and one of the most banging dancefloors we’ve seen for a long time), and revealing the role one of Enter Gallery’s favourite artists played in the fundraising efforts.

Praise You

When a megastar like Norman Cook DJs, it’s only right that the stage is set perfectly. Enter Gallery was therefore thrilled to organise an artwork by esteemed contemporary artist, RYCA, especially for the event.

RYCA has collaborated with Fatboy Slim a number of times over the years, creating numerous works inspired by the DJs biggest floor fillers.

As you can see, RYCA rose to the challenge once again, creating an artwork for Fatboy Slim’s DJ riser that celebrates the star and his legacy as one of the most uplifting DJs of our time.

This original artwork was auctioned on the night, raising thousands towards the fundraising efforts.

While nothing is confirmed just yet, RYCA has said the response to the piece was so positive that he’s considering releasing it as a limited edition print. Watch this space!

Love Letters

In addition to his contribution to Martlets Halloween Ball, RYCA has been taking Brighton by storm this week with the launch of his latest solo show, Love Letters, happening at Enter Gallery now.

Much like his artwork of Fatboy Slim, RYCA’s latest solo show radiates positivity, featuring over 40 artworks celebrating the power of love.

Love Letters will be on display at Enter Gallery until Wednesday 30th October, so be sure to swing by and witness the romance first-hand. You can read all about the show here.
