Sarah Arnett has created The Eyes Have It especially for the Enter Gallery Art Yard Sale 2022.
A Brighton-based artist, Arnett is known for flamboyant artworks which pay homage to her passion for the exotic, and her formative years spent living and travelling in tropical climes.
The piece is inspired by The Eyes Have It, a poem by Brighton poet, Niall Hollaert:
The eyes have it
The type of eyes to mess up everything
To watch you lose all reason. All sense. Even your shoes.
The kind that would split heavens, and put Zeus to his knees.
Rich as Montezuma in their dark cradles.
They would have you turn your back on the felony of sleep.
And knowing, always, in the pink-white wonder of your gut -
If you look too long, they can mean only -
A head full of whisky, and a half-crazed heart.
This piece is from a limited edition of 10. It is hand-finished with gold leaf and diamond dust, and comes signed and numbered by the artist.

Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.
As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.
Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.
Alternatively, for added piece of mind, we've the option of gallery grade cast acrylic, offering superb clarity and protection.
