Ola Volo is a Canadian illustrator and mural artist, known for narrative works inspired by folklore, identity and multiculturalism. Terra is from Volo’s Les Femmes series in which she creates her own interpretations of goddesses.
In the piece, Volo depicts her goddess sporting a crown and cradling a swan – a bird that carries much symbolism in the world of folklore as an emblem of grace and beauty. Volo reveals;
“I see this in the context of Mother Earth and of her taking care of the ones that need the most care. It represents the importance of taking care of each other and of our planet.”

Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.
As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.
Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.
Alternatively, for added piece of mind, we've the option of gallery grade cast acrylic, offering superb clarity and protection.

Ola Volo is a Canadian illustrator and mural artist. Originally hailing from Kazakhstan, Volo’s distinctive art is inspired by folklore, identity and multiculturalism.
Through her work, Volo unites people, architecture and nature, creating intricate works rich in symbolism. Each piece offers “complex narratives that acknowledge the subtleties of human nature while celebrating the little surprises of everyday life.”
In addition to collaborating with clients including Louis Vuitton, Lululemon and Volkswagen, Volo’s murals can be found around the world from Mexico to Montreal.
In 2023, Enter Gallery invited Volo to Brighton to paint a mural close to the city's train station. The mural has since been released as an exclusive limited edition print. Joker is available here.
