Clive Sefton Biography

Brighton-based artist Clive Sefton specialises in a unique blend of typographical and interactive art. Combining clean and beautiful design with hidden words, puzzles, and games Sefton makes contemporary art with a playful twist. 

Sefton’s work is driven by a desire to create multiple layers of engagement with the viewer. He has said of his art: "I like the idea that each time someone looks at a piece they might see something else." His work is made to be enjoyed in a variety of ways: whether played like a game or treated like an object of contemplation, it’s up to each viewer to engage how they choose. Democratically shrugging off artistic authority, Sefton has admitted, “I like the fact it can be shown in so many ways."
