Manhattan Boogie Woogie

Please note, this artwork is only available unframed.

Manhattan Boogie Woogie is a limited edition silkscreen print by "Godfather of Pop Art', Sir Peter Blake. The piece was created for the cover for the 1982 album of the same name by English synth-pop band, Landscape.

This collage is inspired by the visual cultures of the 1930s and 40s, when boogie-woogie music was at the peak of its popularity. Blake has included nods to the work of Matisse, and Dutch abstract artist, Piet Mondrian, alongside cultural icons, Louis Armstrong and Jimmy Stewart.

The band members from Landscape appear at the bottom, beneath the letters U2XME1X2MUCH which stand for a later EP release titled "You two-timed me one time too much'.

This silkscreen print is from a limited edition of 250, signed and numbered by the artist.
