Box framing is provided with all our online framing, creating a distance between the glass and your artwork, so no risk of ink transfer to the pane. it's the perfect, gallery grade choice for limited edition prints or original artworks.

Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.

As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.

Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.

Alternatively, for added piece of mind, we've the option of gallery grade cast acrylic, offering superb clarity and protection.

Born in 1945—on the same day as Eric Clapton, though he’s quick to say that’s where the similarity ends—Richard Evans is a British artist and designer with a vibrant and eclectic career spanning fashion, graphic design, and iconic music artwork.

Richard studied fashion design at Nottingham School of Art in the 1960s, later completing a postgraduate course in graphic design at Leicester. He began his creative career in the fashion world as a shoe designer in the early 1970s, famously crafting multi-coloured platform shoes for music legends like Elton John, Roxy Music, and The Osmonds.

His transition into graphic design led him to work with Aubrey Powell and Storm Thorgerson at the legendary Hipgnosis studio, known for its groundbreaking album covers. After several years with Hipgnosis, Richard founded his own design studio in 1976, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after names in the music industry.

Over the years, he has designed album covers, promotional materials, and tour merchandise for a wide range of legendary artists including The Doors, Pink Floyd, Robert Plant, Public Image Ltd., Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman, Van Morrison, and World Party. His most enduring creative relationship has been with The Who, for whom he has designed everything from album artwork to stage visuals since 1976—his first assignment, memorably, being a centrefold nude photograph of Keith Moon for a tour programme.

With a career defined by bold creativity and a deep connection to the music world, Richard Evans continues to be a distinctive and influential voice in graphic and visual design.
