Who
When The Who released their first studio album in 13 years – there was really no other man but Peter Blake for the job of designing the album cover. Especially, as his work on albums such as Paul Weller’s Stanley Road, and The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band has proven so iconic.
The artwork combines bold colours, images of cultural icons like Mohammad Ali and Batman and Robin, with nods to The Who’s status as the band at the very forefront of the Mod Movement. The cover has also been transformed into an animation for the official music videos of two of the new songs featured on the album, ‘All This Music Must Fade’ and ‘Ball and Chain’.
