Maser Biography

Maser

It was back in 1995 that Irish artist, Maser, adopted his moniker and began painting graffiti on the streets of his home town of Dublin. Since then, he has gained international recognition for his unique and colourful graphic geometric style, using techniques which emphasise simplicity of form.

In addition to establishing himself as one of Ireland’s leading visual artists, his large-scale, instantly-recognisable mural work can be found in cities across the world, from Moscow to Munich. Unafraid to tackle any medium, in recent years Maser has branched out into 3D installations, fine art prints and canvas.

Maser cites optical and mid-century art as key influences, and his signature use of contrasting colours, bold patterns and text never fails to entice the observer into an almost hypnotic state.

In 2018, Maser established Atelier Maser, a gallery space and creative studio in the heart of Dublin, dedicated to nurturing and exhibiting the work of emerging visual artists.
