In Lost Souls I, contemporary British artist Dan Baldwin explores ideas of innocence and spirituality. This multi-layered allegorical work juxtaposes illustrations of children, butterflies, and hearts with human skeletons, evil clowns, and an inverted crucifix in a spooky, surreal dreamscape - something like visual music.
'I really like making the pieces that don't have any perspective, that are more musical, because everything has to balance perfectly, it's about movement, form and feeling.
