Ben Dari, aka Screen Prince, is a master of portrait art. His work employs a technique known as ‘calligrame’, which involves arranging text to form a picture, which brings his subjects to life.
The focus of much of Screen Prince’s art is musical icons, including the likes of Prince, Jimi Hendrix and Notorious B.I.G. By selecting lyrics from the stars’ biggest hits, he encapsulates the essence of each artist.
All of the artist’s prints are hand-drawn and hand-printed, to create tones and colours unique to each piece.
