Seb Lester Biography

Seb Lester is a British artist, calligrapher and type designer, notable for his calligraphic prints. He is one of the most high-profile calligraphers in the world. An incredible two million people admire his talents via his social media accounts, earning him the nickname, ‘the Banksy of calligraphy’.

Lester’s prints capturing inspiring sentiments are characterised by his rich calligraphic strokes and flourishes. He is best-known for his 2009-2010 cover redesigns of four J.D. Salinger book covers, in conjunction with Penguin. Additionally, he has designed fonts for the Vancouver Winter Olympics, Intel, Waitrose, NASA and he helped develop the mastheads for The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.
