On the 18th March, Enter Gallery is hosting its first group show of 2022. Sound and Vision is a typography show featuring the work of 18 of our artists, all of whom have created artworks especially for the show, paying homage to the music that has inspired their art.
In honour of the event (which you’re invited to by the way. RSVP here), this month we’re giving away a signed, 70 x 70cm limited edition giclée print by Kid-B.
With A Little Bit of Luck, you’ll be taking home this beauty come the end of the month. Here’s everything you need to know to be in the running…
If garage classics were what had you tearing up the dancefloor back in the day, the lyrics featured in the above artwork from DJ Luck and MC Neat will fill any music lover with a wonderful sense of nostalgia.
This piece is from Kid-B’s second collection - Boom Selection - a series of typography-based prints that celebrate UK garage. The eagle-eyed garage-lovers amongst you will spot that even the title of the collection is a nod to the musical genre, borrowing its name from the track of the same name by Genius Cru.
An artist for the music lover
Being a DJ as well as an artist, Kid-B likes to pay tribute to her musical heroes through her art. Via fun and eye-catching artworks, she captures the lyrics we’ve sung at the tops of our voices, or that hold a special place in our hearts (because we secretly feel they were written just for us!)
Prior to Boom Selection, Kid-B released her debut collection entitled, In The Beginning, which celebrates the birth of drum and bass and jungle music in the 1990s.
