CEO of artrepublic, Lawrence Alkin, is this week’s expert on the panel of BBC Two programme The Apprentice: You’re Fired, presented by Dara O Briain.
As documented in our blogs last week, artrepublic can reveal that the challenge for this week’s episode (to be broadcast on Wednesday 9th May) is for the contestants to co-ordinate a pop up gallery showcasing work by urban artists including Pure Evil and Copyright.
The competing teams from the show have only one day to meet and convince the artists that they are the right team to represent them in a one-off gallery. The teams take very different approaches to try and convince the artists that they should put their trust in them.
artrepublic were very excited when we heard the news that one of our favourite artists Pure Evil would be one of those featuring artists. We then became even more thrilled when our very own CEO was invited to take part on the programme and as the street art expert.
The Apprentice will be broadcast at 9pm on BBC One on Wednesday 9th May and is followed by The Apprentice: You’re Fired, featuring artrepublic’s Lawrence Alkin on BBC Two at 10pm, it promises to be a fascinating and fun couple of shows for all urban art collectors.
