The Brighton Fringe artrepublic Visual Arts Prize 2013 has officially kicked off! For the chance to win an artrepublic voucher worth £250, a cash prize of £250, and free registration to the 2014 Brighton Fringe (worth £228) read on…
The Brighton Fringe is the largest annual arts festival in England and this year it will take place from 4th May – 2nd June. Fringe activity has been running alongside Brighton Festival since its creation in 1967. One of the event’s main objectives is to promote local talent and the arts. As a result, participants vary from the complete beginners to the hardened professional show, and everything in between.
The highly anticipated 2013 programme has now been launched, featuring 685 shows across 178 venues. Julian Caddy, Brighton Fringe managing director said, “The key for me remains the quality of what’s on offer and there are some significant new shows in the programme for 2013 as well as 220 world premieres which is fantastic.”
artrepublic are delighted once again to be the proud sponsor of Visual Arts within the 2013 Brighton Fringe Festival. Judging:
Once all submissions have been received, artrepublic and a panel of well-known local artists will decide on a shortlist. The shortlist will then be put to a public vote during the Brighton Fringe to determine the winner.
The shortlisted artworks will be displayed at an exhibition at the Visual Arts Fair which will form party of the Fringe City event at the Unitarian Church in New Road on Saturday 1st June. The winner of the artrepublic Visual Arts Prize will be announced at the exhibition.
