Each month, Enter Gallery hosts a Kids Club – a two-hour session, where children are guided through an artistic workshop, led by one of our contemporary artists.

If you feel like you’re always on the hunt for creative things to do with children in Brighton, then look no further. Our Kids Club is a great place for your little ones to dip their toe into the artistic world, and to learn useful techniques that will encourage them to flex their creative muscles!

This month, our wonderful host was Hello Marine – a Brighton-based artist, known for modern reimaginings of the classic still life.

In today’s blog, we’re revealing all about the creativity that blossomed at Enter Gallery when Hello Marine brought her artistic style to Kids Club.

Hello Marine is an inspirational artist whose joyful work is inspired by the colours of the world around us. Each of her paintings is designed to show off the simple pleasure of bringing nature into our homes via plants and floral arrangements.

The name of the game in this month’s session was to recreate a cut-out version of one of Hello Marine’s most popular works – Fleur – which features a simple floral arrangement in a vase.

The kids were encouraged to experiment with colour and pattern to bring their artworks alive. And we think you’ll agree, they did a wonderful job! Here are some of their masterpieces in full technicolour…
