Enter Gallery Presents, 'The Mix'

Last weekend, we threw open the doors of Enter Gallery for the launch night of our highly-anticipated 2024 group show – The Mix.

The exhibition featured original artworks created by our all-star roster of contemporary artists, including the latest artists to join Enter Gallery – Alison Lapper, Broken Fingaz and SYMBLE.

With many of the participating artists in attendance and the gallery packed to the rafters, this was one of those Brighton art events you won't forget. Here are some snaps from a great night…

Multi-disciplinary

To create this show, Enter Gallery curated a selection of cutting-edge works spanning multiple disciplines from some of the most exciting contemporary talent on the UK and international art scene.

We showcased street art and graffiti artworks from the likes of SYMBLE and Fanakapan, alongside original paintings by Charlotte Rose, Marcelina Amelia, Broken Fingaz, Hello Marine and Elizabeth Waggett.

Also on display were original collage works from leading artists, Bonnie and Clyde and Maria Rivans. We brought you a selection of textile artworks from Sarah Arnett and French artist, Mateo Humano, abstract works from Bruce McLean and Dan Baldwin and typography art from Gavin Mitchell.

Artists in Attendance

We were delighted to welcome so many of our artists to the gallery for the show. It’s such a privilege to be able to bring together art fans with the artists they admire, giving them the opportunity to ask questions, seek advice or just have a chinwag.

Sarah Arnett joined the party, bringing us Siren - the first of her exotic artworks to be applied to an exquisite warp woven tapestry. The artwork is Arnett’s ode to the sea and the lessons is can teach us.

Here’s a snap of Charlotte Rose beside her piece, 100g of Stiff Upper Lip, in which she explores our tendency as Brits to save face rather than admit to vulnerabilities.

Here, we’ve papped Dan Baldwin and Richard Berner beside their works, The Road Less Travelled and A Dream Within A Hundred Dreams.

Baldwin’s work brings together vibrant shades of pink, red and white in a celebration of the power of nature. Berner’s original features 100 small artworks combined to make one larger piece. Alive with curious detail, every square tells its own story.

Sara Pope also joined us on the night, presenting her statement piece, Hot Pink Pop. In depicting her flirty mouth on a gold leaf background, Pope created an eye-catching piece that attracted many admirers.

Swing by the gallery to see The Mix on display until Tuesday October 8th.
