On the weekend of 25th - 27th February 2022, Enter Gallery’s highly-anticipated Sample Sale will be returning to Middle Street Primary School in Brighton. From 11am to 5:30pm each day from Friday until Sunday, you’ll have the chance to snap up framed and unframed artworks with discounts of up to 75%.

Creative fundraising

The purpose of the Sample Sale is to raise funds for Middle Street Primary School. Sadly, as we speak, the government is cutting funding and bumping up costs for schools across the country. This leaves schools with no choice but to make cuts to their budgets, which has a significant impact on staffing, the curriculum and facilities. 

25% of the proceeds from the Sample Sale will go directly to the school. In past years, funds raised in conjunction with the event have gone towards employing a special needs teacher and renovating the school’s Arts Centre.

We chatted to Middle Street's Head Teacher, Rob Cooper, about what the proceeds will mean for the school: 

'Additional funding in school makes such a difference to the exciting things we can do in school for our children. The Enter Gallery Sample Sale will help us to turn our outdoor areas into a special green oasis in one of the busiest built-up areas of the city. This will support the well being of our children and create a space we can be proud of.

With 25% of all profits being donated to the school, previous sales have made a real difference to Middle Street. Please help us make this the biggest fundraiser yet and get yourself some fantastic artwork for your walls at the same time!'

What will be on sale?

As is traditional for a sample sale, this event is your chance to get your hands on near-perfect items from some of Enter Gallery’s leading artists at a fraction of the cost.

When you arrive in the school hall, you’ll find a fantastic selection of framed and unframed pieces ready for you to peruse. There will be a £50 table, a £100 table and a £100+ table. Each piece will have the price on the reverse.  

Enter Gallery’s Art Advisors will be on hand to tell you more about the pieces and artists you are interested in, and to help you with your purchase.
