Sponsored By You, 2019
Sponsored By You, 2019 is a colour etching print by Turner Prize-winning artist Grayson Perry.
The print depicts the recurring figure of Alan Measles, Perry's fictional teddybear, as he hits the open road. In Perry's own words: 'Alan Measles and Claire speed down Silicon Valley in their exotic supercar. They are happy and smiling because they are so rich. They made their money in the caring sharing world of digital technology. Super rich people spend a lot of money on super cars, art and handbags.' Alan and Claire describe themselves as philanthropists. Funny while strangely unsettling, Perry employs his signature style: livid, clashing colours, busy detail, and a tendency toward the macabre.
From a limited edition of just 68, hand signed and numbered on the reverse by Perry himself, Sponsored By You, 2019 is a rare and unmissable opportunity for the contemporary art collector.

Your Framing Options at entergallery.com
Box framing is provided with all our online framing, creating a distance between the glass and your artwork, so no risk of ink transfer to the pane. it's the perfect, gallery grade choice for limited edition prints or original artworks.
Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.

About the artist
Winner of the 2003 Turner Prize, prolific contemporary artist Grayson Perry is known for his penchant for cross-dressing, his air of eccentricity, and his deviously brilliant ceramics, tapestries, paintings, etchings and limited edition prints.
Dissecting British prejudices, fashions, and foibles, Perry juxtaposes decorative clichés with depictions of brutality. Chintzy flowers adorn weapons of war – the lion lays down with the lamb – to distort classical forms of beauty and to challenge cultural norms.
Perry’s work is underpinned by a strong autobiographical element, as self-portraits of himself as alter-ego Claire, as well as depictions of his childhood teddy bear, Alan Measles, are repeated throughout his oeuvre, building a sense of personal and psychological continuity.
