Lamp and Ch'uan Ware is from a series of eight silkscreen prints by Patrick Caulfield. The piece is from the artist's White Ware series, in which he portrays a single white ceramic pot represented against a dark background, and illuminated with shafts of light.
This series is said to have been inspired by the V&A Museum's catalogues featuring their collection of oriental ceramics.
From a limited edition of 45, the piece comes framed in a white box frame, signed and numbered by the artist.

The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.
As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.
Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.

About the artist
Patrick Caulfield was an English painter and printmaker known for bold and figurative artworks that often incorporate photorealistic elements. His works are characterised by flat areas of simple colours and black outlines.
Caulfield attended the Royal College of Art in the 1960s, studying alongside the likes of David Hockney and Peter Blake – both of whom also displayed Caulfield’s flare for turning everyday objects into works of art.
Caulfield was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1987, and his work is held in the private collections of Charles Saatchi and David Bowie.
