Rob Wass Biography

Rob Wass (previously known as DATA) is a mixed-media artist and photographer hailing from Hastings in the UK. His vibrant artworks, which explore the theme of ‘organised chaos’, balance delicate lines with bright blocks of colour to create celebrations of nature, architecture and geometry.

Armed with his camera, Wass heads outside to capture beauty and patterns in the natural world. It’s the intricate details that inspire his work, from the markings on leaves, to the twists of branches and the patterns birds make while soaring across the sky. 

Wass works with layers of black ink, watercolours, paint and silkscreen to create artworks that are always a captivating conversation between light and dark.
