Be Sincere

Kid-B is an artist who’s inspiration comes from the street sounds and urban music of UK garage in 1990’s and 2000’s. Her work mixes street art with pop art essentials of bold graphics and strong palettes.

Be Sincere is from the collection – The Boom Selection. Horizontally across the print Kid B has written titular Be Sincere lyrics in daffodil yellow then surrounds them with a bright blue neon strip that recaptures the 1990s iconography with a contemporary cool.

    About the artist
    +

The woman behind female Bass DJ ‘B-Trix Kiddo’, Kid-B’s artwork is a translation of beat to canvas. Fusing her passion for Drum and Bass with her eye for graphics and typography, Kid-B creates a street aesthetic suffused with urban style.

Her print collections celebrate the golden age of Drum and Bass and Garage music in the 90s and early 00s, blending retro iconography with contemporary techniques for a distinctively modern aesthetic.

Her work is driven by a strong sensitivity to colour and composition, mixing contemporary graffiti art with a retro Pop aesthetic, through a combination of loud colour and fragments of in-your-face text. Fierce and fearless, the work of Kid-B is a force to be reckoned with.
