Dan Baldwin's Infatuation marries bold abstraction with figurative illustration, layering imagination with real forms in a bright, pop-art influenced palette.
Infatuation, Green is part of a series of three prints, each available in three colourways, which include Utopia, Delirium and Infatuation.
The trilogy was created in homage to Andy Warhol's iconic flower paintings from the 1960's: 'It's a subtle nod to the master as he was one of the first artists that inspired me at art school in early 1990's. This new way of making prints is an entire new exploration into print, and takes things to new places which is hugely inspiring.'
The swallow, the skeletal hand and barbed wire are common motifs in Baldwin's work, and suggest a multi-layered set of tensions between symbols of freedom, imprisonment, mortality and hope.
Infatuation, Green is a signed, limited edition silkscreen print, available in an edition of 20.

Box framing is provided with all our online framing, creating a distance between the glass and your artwork, so no risk of ink transfer to the pane. it's the perfect, gallery grade choice for limited edition prints or original artworks.
Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.
As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.
Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.
Alternatively, for added piece of mind, we've the option of gallery grade cast acrylic, offering superb clarity and protection.

About the artist
Sinister yet beautiful, the work of contemporary artist Dan Baldwin addresses big ideas: from the political to the religious, from innocence to experience, Baldwin’s fierce aesthetic is no wallflower. A modern take on object trouvé, Baldwin explores the use of the ‘real’ in his work. In the past, he has incorporated fragments of Iraqi and American currency, vintage crucifixes, and real bullets to press on the fine line between art and reality.
Blending the abstract with the figurative, Baldwin’s work sits at the intersection of reality and fantasy. Frequently recurring motifs – from skeletons to swallows, flowers to firearms, crucifixes to cartoon characters – are often contradictory, juxtaposed to create an uncomfortable visual paradox.
