Mini Heart, Pink

Mini Heart, Pink is a resin relief and silkscreen on glass by acclaimed contemporary artist Ryan Callanan (aka RYCA).

Against a black background, a pink love heart sits in bas-relief. The contrasts are striking — between the black and the pink, the surface and the depth — and the effect is bold and minimalist. The piece is finished in a black frame, each one hand distressed by the artist.

Known for his tactile and iconographic works of art, Callanan brings his expertise as a sign writer to his limited edition prints and originals. Working across a range of media, including glass, resin and gold leaf, Callanan’s work captures the beauty of the dying art of pub signage. Mini Heart Pink is from an open edition and is hand signed by the artist.

    Your Framing Options at entergallery.com

Box framing is provided with all our online framing, creating a distance between the glass and your artwork, so no risk of ink transfer to the pane. it's the perfect, gallery grade choice for limited edition prints or original artworks.

Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.

As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.

    About the artist
    +

Sign writer and 3D model-maker Ryan Callanan aka RYCA has developed a distinctive style, combining contemporary pop culture with the iconic symbolism of traditional typography.

In homage to the lost art of pub signage, Ryan Callanan conveys his street-art inspired messages on hand-etched glass, set in ornate gilt frames, for an aesthetic that is at once modern and classical.

As RYCA, his artistic alter ego, Ryan Callanan also creates limited edition prints, which have a reputation for their high demand. These pop prints are known for their fusions of contemporary cultural iconographies, placing unexpected references in dialogue with one another for a novel take on the art of nostalgia.
