British artist, Gemma Compton creates colourful pieces, inspired by the impermanence of the natural world and by the various shades of human emotion.
Much of Compton's work is created in blue hues, which is inspired by 18th century porcelain. After suffering serious spinal injuries, the artist views porcelain as the perfect representation of her post-accident body.
She comments: "The body is at times fragile, but with an inner strength. I want my work to be emotive but also powerful, because I believe no matter what we are going through, either physically or mentally, we are stronger than we know.'
Muse, Rose Gold is a collaboration between Compton and contemporary artist, Copyright.
This giclee print is hand-finished with rose gold leaf. It is from a limited edition of 10, signed by both artists.

Your Framing Options at entergallery.com
Box framing is provided with all our online framing, creating a distance between the glass and your artwork, so no risk of ink transfer to the pane. it's the perfect, gallery grade choice for limited edition prints or original artworks.
Shadow float mounting is an option at our website, to give the appearance of an artwork floating within the frame. The mount – an archival foam core – creates depth too, by casting a shadow beneath the artwork. We highly recommend using a float mount when framing artwork with deckled (hand-torn) edges.
As always, all our materials are sustainable and archival to keep your artwork in mint condition and perfectly presented. Simply choose from our white or black float framing options, before adding to basket.
Glazing all our framing orders are shipped with glass. We take great care with packaging to protect your artwork.
Alternatively, for added piece of mind, we've the option of gallery grade cast acrylic, offering superb clarity and protection.

About the artist
Contemporary British artist, Gemma Compton grew up around nature, and this inspired her initial love of drawing. However, it wasn’t until she had a near death experience in a road traffic accident and fractured several bones in her spine that she focused all of her energies on her art.
Initially working as a print designer within the fashion industry, Compton’s eye for pattern and texture can be seen across all of her art. Her oeuvre explores themes of human emotion, set against the natural world. It is rich in symbolism drawn from flora and fauna with short life cycles.
She states: ‘My art will always come from a darker place. I try to create something beautiful but with a little ‘shadow’, a little truth that nothing is infinite and for life to exist there must also be death.’
