Tower Bridge

Clare Halifax is known for using colour and pattern to create meticulously-crafted artworks of landscapes and landmarks that observers can get lost in. Halifax begins each new piece with a fine ink pen in hand, carefully drawing each layer, before transferring her work to the screen.

Speaking of how she approaches her detailed pieces, Halifax reveals: ‘The challenge of a new drawing is the composition and layout, making sure all elements are placed correctly and in line with each other. Once I have achieved this, filling in the detail becomes almost meditative, creating patterns within the patterns that make up the final piece.’

Tower Bridge depicts the infamous East London landmark, and captures the constant movement that pulses around it on a typical London day.

This silkscreen print is from a limited edition of 25, signed by the artist.
