We’re delighted to announce that From Thursday 17th November to Sunday 27th November, we’re hosting an Enter Gallery Pop-Up at The Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, London.
London Pop Up - 17th - 27th November
For 10 whole days, we’ll be transporting the magic of Enter Gallery to our nation’s capital, exhibiting the work of our artists, and hosting a selection of exciting launches, private views and special events.
Pull out those diaries, because this is one you won’t want to miss. In today’s blog, we’re revealing a couple of the treats we have in store at Enter Gallery’s first ever London Pop Up…
Opening Night: Thursday 17th November - 7- 9pm
To kick things off in style, on opening night we’re hosting a Private View of some new and original artworks from a number of our artists, including Dave White, Jamie Reid and The Connor Brothers.
On the night, we’ll be showing brand new originals from Charlotte Rose – an artist with two sell-out shows under her belt, I Quit Last Week, and the Enter Gallery-sponsored, Too Much of A Good Thing. Rose’s work explores the clever artistry of classic branding, and the dream life these brands present us with all in the name of flogging us poisonous goods.
We’ll also be bringing you the latest print release and new original works from Elizabeth Waggett – an artist known for free-spirited portrayals of animals and skulls, presented in stripped-back monochrome and shimmering gold leaf.
Speaking of skulls…also on display at our Private View will be two new skulls from Master of the Macabre, Magnus Gjoen.
Via modern takes on old masterpieces and transforming items typically associated with violence into delicate works of art, Magnus Gjoen challenges our preconceived notions of beauty. His enormously-popular skulls serve as a modern day momento mori – reminding us about the fragility of life.
London-based artist, Gavin Mitchell is also launching Left Foot Red - an exclusive piece from his East Meets West series, in which he pays homage to Ukiyo-e, a genre of Japanese art that explores themes of female beauty, erotica and folk tales.
Mitchell’s series considers the influence of western trends on the east. In this exclusive piece, his geisha enjoy a friendly game of Twister. For the duration of the Pop-Up, Mitchell's piece will be available for a special price of £650.
Spaces for the Private View are limited, so please RSVP here.
Live Art with Hannah Shillito and Yan Skates: Sunday 20th Nov - 1pm to 3pm
On Sunday, there will be a live art installation with Enter Gallery artist, Hannah Shillito, and Flower Designer, Yan Skates, of Netflix Gardening show, The Big Flower Fight.
Shillito is a contemporary artist whose work is defined by maximalism and the joy of colour.
Attention-grabbing, honest and playful, Shillito’s art emanates pleasure and positivity.
Originally from Denmark, Skates now lives in London running Bespoke Flowers. Prior to becoming a Master-Florist, he was a fine artist, running around town and exhibiting work with Young British Artists including Gavin Turk and Tracey Emin. Skates has won several prizes for his floristry, including a Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal and 1st Prize at Hampton Court Flower Show.
Arron Crascall Private View: Thursday 24th Nov - 7-9pm
On the evening of Thursday 24th, Enter Gallery are hosting a Private View of new original paintings from Arron Crascall.
Arron Crascall is a British artist and social media sensation, known for abstract artworks depicting pop culture icons alongside swathes of colour and text.
Following his sell-out first solo show, Since 16, which took place at Enter Gallery in July 2022, we're bringing Crascall to our Pop-Up to exhibit new works for our London audience.
RSVP here to join us, and meet Crascall, on the 24th.
