Little lockdown moments. Enter Gallery's Photography Competition

“You need to let the things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you.” Andy Warhol.

From extraordinary people to ordinary moments - we asked you to capture the little things that brought you joy during an uncertain time. Whether that was a particularly gorgeous piece of toast, a beloved pet or something you made, we asked you to share and you did not disappoint…

A call out to our community to stay connected during our closure and a wonderful opportunity to stay inspired. Each entry to our competition brought a smile to our faces. Congratulations to Charlotte who won with this picture of her blossoming Dad!

Let’s take a look at our runners up…

This time spent at home has forced us to slow down and celebrate the art of solitude and the delightfully mundane. What we no longer take for granted now we have the time to fully appreciate it. Like many people, the pandemic crisis has made us see the word in a new light.

We may be open again but we are still listening… #checkinwithus on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and let us know how you have kept creative at home. If you are unable to make it to the gallery then we are more than happy to assist however we can. Contact us if you need any help navigating the website, advice on framing or a friendly chat about the artworks. We are virtually there with you.

Read about the extra precautions we are taking during our re-opening here.
