Simon Dunmore

Immaculate Collection

Simon is the latest release from Vessey’s enormously-popular Collections series, in which he captures collections of everything from records and books, to perfume and booze bottles.

Having created Collections works showcasing everything from Bowie tracks to Funk ‘n’ Soul and Glastonbury headliners, Vessey has earned himself a reputation as a masterful documenter of popular culture.

This new artwork marks the second time Vessey has immortalised the collection of a musical icon, following his critically-acclaimed Norman piece, which captured Fatboy Slim’s favourite tracks.

In this print, Vessey distils 40 years of Dunmore’s musical influences into 88 records ranging from R&B, soul, funk, disco, Jazz, Seminal House, Mod and 80s Electronica. Look closely and you’ll see that the piece depicts iconic tracks from the likes of Gil Scott Heron, Chaka Khan, Talking Heads, Arrested Development and Bobby Womack.

Simon will be available in various sizes, including the 'mother piece', which will be on display at Enter Gallery for the first time on the 25th.
