A Vocabulary Of Ornaments
Please note, this artwork is only available unframed.
Known for his bright, romantic, Pop Art inspired landscapes, Benjamin Thomas Taylor's work is fuelled by a sense of joy and love of nature.
A Vocabulary of Ornaments is the third in a series of images alongside Searching for the Regina hotel and Little Garden, influenced by Henri Matisse and his pursuit of the possibilities between art, nature, colour and form.
Depicting a desert garden abundant with possibility, reaching back against a sunset sky, the colourful Barrel Cactus, Opuntia and flowering Yuccas fill the print, while the title alludes to organic riches, each specimen a splendid ornament in nature's alluring world.
This giclée print with silkscreen glazes, is hand-finished with acrylic and hand-torn deckled edges. From a limited edition of 25, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
