Tacita Dean is a British conceptual artist who works across film, photography, installation and drawing. Dean’s work explores questions of cultural loss and is interpreted as an act of mourning for the analogue world of documents and photographs that we’re losing as we transition into a digital realm.
Dean’s artworks can be found in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, the Tate, the Reina Sofia National Museum in Madrid, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C.
