Broken Fingaz

Broken Fingaz

For almost 20 years, Broken Fingaz Crew have been one of the leading lights of the Israeli graffiti scene. Known for bold, visionary works, infused with a brutal sense of humour, their work has been used for album art for the likes of Pearl Jam, U2 and Blink 182, and can be found around the world, from Brighton to Beijing.

Broken Fingaz Crew consists of Unga, Tant, and Deso who met while growing up on a Kibbutz in the northern Israeli city of Haifa. Influenced by ’80s skateboard graphics and American comics, the crew started out designing posters for local gigs and bands. Their ambitious practice now incorporates everything from murals, graffiti and painting to installation, animation and graphic design.

Hailing from a region fraught with social and political tension, Broken Fingaz Crew are known for psych-pop art that offers reflection and escape, exploring pop-culture, sexuality, spirituality, magic and death.
