In today’s blog, we’re revealing a little more about the Private View, including details of how you can join us on the night, along with details of other events taking place at the London Pop-Up.
Comedy mastermind
Arron Crascall is one of the biggest names on the online comedy block. His hilarious content, which involves good-hearted pranks on the general public, has garnered fans across the world, and even attracted the attention of comedy geniuses like Jack Black, Seth Rogen and Ryan Reynolds.
While social media is his usual domain, Crascall has always been a talented artist, studying his craft at college and travelling to cities around the world to learn from the best artists in the game. Painting has always been a means of relaxation for the star. Crascall explains:
“It kind of tames the beast. I’ve done paintings where I’ve been crying, paintings where I’ve been out of breath, paintings where I’ve been up until 4 in the morning not realising the time because I’m so wrapped up in it. It comes in big waves and its pretty crazy really.”
Express Yourself
One element of Crascall’s paintings is scrawled words that hint at the emotion behind each piece. As he states:
“I’ve always written how I’m feeling underneath each painting. I write exactly what’s going on in my mind at the time, what’s aggravating me, or what I’m happy about and then I paint over the top so that no one knows it’s there.”
However, this Private View will feature pieces which take a slightly new direction. Arron reveals:
“I’ve done a series of three paintings where I’ve done things the other way round. I’ve painted the canvas first and then put wording over the top – just to give people a little glimpse into the madness really.”
What to expect from the Private View
Join Enter Gallery and Arron Crascall from 7-9pm on Thursday 24th November at a Private View of Crascall’s latest works.
Speaking of the Private View, Arron states:
“I can’t wait for the private view. The first show I did at Enter Gallery just blew my mind. It sold out and it was such a successful show. It meant a lot for me because it was the first show I did since leaving uni. Now, this next one is going to be in London near my stomping ground in Brick Lane, so it’ll be good to see everyone for two hours of pure mayhem.”
Available on the night will be a new series of original paintings, and new large editions of two of his most popular pieces, Air Max Marilyn and Air Max Ballet. Guests will also enjoy the unique opportunity to see Crascall hand-finishing these prints on-site, while sipping on a drink or two.
Spaces are limited, so if you’d like to join us at the event, please RSVP here to secure your spot.
