Watch Elizabeth Waggett’s Live Podcast Recording Now

Back in the summer, contemporary artist, Elizabeth Waggett journeyed all the way from Texas USA to visit us at Enter Gallery.

Waggett was in town to release a series of exquisite original artworks, but while she was here, we invited her to a live recording of Enter Gallery’s podcast, Art Related Noise. It was a real pleasure to welcome several collectors of Waggett’s work to the gallery to meet their favourite artist, and to hear her speak about her artistic life.

Tune into the episode below to experience Waggett’s wisdom and insight for yourself.

Magnificent Standards

At the live podcast recording, Waggett introduced Magnificent Standards - a series of artworks each depicting one of her favourite motifs – the lobster – against a backdrop of different precious metals. Speaking of these works, Waggett told us:

My new lobsters are liberated and lifted onto precious metal backgrounds to highlight their beauty and value to our ecosystem. Now that it is unleashed, it’s in its element. There’s a sense of grandeur around it that captures the lobsters’ resilient spirit.”

The Artist’s Way

During the podcast, Waggett spoke candidly about her journey from working class beginnings to successful artist. She discussed everything from her experiences of being a woman in a male dominated industry, to the invaluable relationship between artist and collector and the opportunities for both business and friendship that it can present.

Fear not, we captured all the perceptive magic on film, and we’re pleased to announce that you can watch the recording over on YouTube now.
